I had wu-xia dreams last night, which unfortunately only partially make up for the fact that whatever wu-xia homage was in Kill Bill Vol. 2 was horribly inadequate.
Since I'm on the computers at school, you'll have to deal with my lack of Chinese (simplified or otherwise) input and learn to satisfy yourself with pinyin. >)
So apparently my shi fu (who happen to have been Yang Guo and Xiao Long Nu from Shen Diao Xia Lu) tell me that in order to become a full member of Gu Mu Pai, I have to pass a test. This involves wandering about Wu Lin for a few years, taking more shi fu and learning everything I can.
Somehow, I find myself the tu di of Huang Rong, and she teaches me the 36 zhao fa of the da gou bang. Then I have to fight this guy sitting in a chair, and my goal is to be good enough with my weapons to get him to stand up in order to have to defend against me.
This takes a while, switching between different types of wu gong before I get him to stand up, but unfortunately by that time he's guessed I'm from Gu Mu Pai. It turns out he's actually a bad guy, and being way more powerful than me, manages to escape.
Then my alarm goes off and my happy Jin Yong related dream ends.
I am saddended. ;_; I have few enough wu xia dreams as it is, especially anything having to do with me and the Da Gou Bang or me and anything at all to do with Shen Diao Xia Lu.
