Oh, and are you sure it's a candy cane? My first impression was that indeed it was a lollipop, because I have seen lollipops with striped handles like that, though they are rare.

How on earth will they do that? And why bother? I mean, if you really want to emphasize that smoking = keeelz u! put a little message at the end: "attn kids, sanji is not real. that's why he isn't hacking up a lung". Bonus points if they have a little animation of him in the bkgd dying of lung cancer.
