I want to go on a rant about how much I dislike HagaRen, but I don't think I will. I somehow managed to miss the brunt of it at Comiket (made a bee-line for everything I want to get on Saturday, and still managed to not to have time for Get Backers, much to the relief of my wallet), which makes me happy...but ugh.
EVERYBODY and their mother is into HagaRen. I just don't get it. I've seen the first five episodes, and at least three or four aside from those, and I just don't understand the draw of it. The premise is kind of weak, I find the characters not particularly special (Ed is just like every other shounen hero out there) and the horror factor they try to work in the show is Are You Afraid of the Dark level. Oh well, I'll stop bitching about it, despite the fact that a whole shitload of my favorite circles have started doing HagaRen and not the much cooler shit they used to do.

Hit Ikebukuro today, which in hindsight was a ridiculously shitty idea, considering that it's natsu-yasumi (summer vacation) and a Sunday. It was so crowded I couldn't get a good look at anything. I hit the string of animate/K-books/Character Queen right across from Sunshine City/60 and bought presents for people who'd given me money.
