Garbage cans are my new best friend

I have no classes today (both of them got canceled), but yet I am forced to be here on campus from 11am to 9pm. :/ *sighs* I just can't escape the MIT life, can I? *bangs head against wall* I've got work from 11am-12pm, work again from 3-5pm, and Tae Kwon Do at 7:30pm. Technically we don't actually have tae kwon do today, but the instructor said that if we wanted to, he'd come on Wednesday night and teach us more stuff. ^_^

Since I'm the only one staying, I figured I'd take advantage. I need all the private help I can get in this thing. :x I was sparring with the instructor on Monday night, which was pretty cool. It was supposed to be no contact, but well...we had contact anyway, especially when I was blocking and all. It was good fun, if extremely tiring. =_=;;

I was supposed to be doing my presentation today, but since class is canceled...no presentation! So I spent all of last night watching Red Dwarf and Invader Zim, playing KH: Chain of Memories (gah, I'm so slow at reading Japanese. It's such a chore! >_<), and going over some fic I promised to put out by the end of this week. Ah, it was good times. ^_^ I enjoyed myself immensely. More of doing that tonight, and during the day even, since I'm stuck at work for 3 hours, and on campus for even more. God knows what I'll actually do to myself...probably stow away in a small corner of the library and just see how much I can churn out.

Thanks to garbage cans, the voyd is now down two mice. XD First a mouse got caught in Destra's trash can and couldn't get out (or so we thought, I'm not sure whether or not he was still in there when Destra finally took the trash out), and last night a mouse got caught in my overflowing trash can. Stupid thing ran back into the trash when I waved at it, which allowed me to trap it effectively. I left it alone in there for a bit before unlazy-ing myself and taking out the trash bag. Since I felt it was probably more satisfactory for me to kill the mouse right then and there instead of just tossing him into the dumpster in the back, I pulled out the trash back, found him near the bottom, and promptly stomped on him.

Mice have surprisingly little blood when you squish them. I'll keep this in mind the next time I see a mouse and I want to stomp on it (I've had two chances previous to this, and each time I've figured I'd rather not due to the likely mess, but now that I find out mice make such little mess...). There is also no satisfying squishy feeling, but that just might be because I was wearing shoes.

Next time I see a mouse...it's so going down. >3
