good news and conflicts

Looks like they've released a list of the select cities that the Phantom movie will be showing in. Basically, if you live in a city with a population on the order of 10^4 or so, you're probably getting it. That means 'yes' for Salt Lake City. :3 I am so hauling my little ass over the movie theatre if there's a midnight showing the night of the 21st. O_O;; And I'm dragging Charm and Crystal with me...cause they obviously don't have any say this matter. ^_^ *grin*

I'm going to know the movie so well by the time I get to Chicago to partake in the festivities with the ex and the Ginga. ^_^ Yay!

On interesting news my mother is staying in China with Dad for an extra week and a half or so, so that means that for the first 3 days of my trip home to SLC my parents aren't going to be there. Which means that I get to spend the first three days of my trip home at Charm and Crystal's house. It'll be interesting, to say the least. XD I wonder what awesome quotes we'll make this time, because last year's were pretty good:

Skuld: Wow Crystal, you're as thin as a rock.
Crystal and Charm: .... .... ... XD

Charm (while playing Uno): What color is it? :D
Skuld and Crystal: =_=;; *sweatdrop*

Skuld (still playing Uno): Pick a color.
Charm: Four!
Skuld and Crystal: ... ... o_o

Yeah, we're crazy. :3

On the conflicted side of things, I've been wondering whether or not to apply for the Kawamura Fellowship, which is a program for MIT and Harvard students where we get to visit Japan for 5 weeks and "get introduced its culture" whatever the hell that's supposed to mean. I guess it means we get to talk to semi-important people (including politicians, from what I hear) and bum around Japan for 5 weeks. :3 I'm seriously considering going back to Japan this summer because it was so totally awesome last summer, but I don't want to go back and do work. I want to go back and have the free time to bum and travel whenever I want.

So this Kawamura Fellowship thing lasts from July 5 to August 8, which is why I'm actually having second thoughts about this. I missed a lot at Otakon last year, and I'd hate to miss Otakon again this year, but come on people, it's JAPAN. O_o;; *sweatdrops*

Otakon...or JAPAN.
Otakon...OR JAPAN.

I guess it shouldn't really be a difficult decision for me, but it actually is. Japan people, I LOVE Japan. I miss Japan like hell. And if I get into this program, I'm going to be able go to summer Comiket again. O_o;; *knees go all woozy*

Otakon had better come up with a damn good reason for me to stay in the States (ie: they're going to have Asian Kung-Fu Generation or Orange Range in concert, or they're going to have Seki Toshihiko as a guest) or I might just go ahead and apply to this thing.

The information meeting session is at 4pm today, but I'm stuck at work. *sniffles* Oh well. ._. *shakes fist* If Japan loves me, they'll let me go back! :D
