Grabbed some coffee with Celes earlier tonight, and felt really bad that there wasn't that much time left to hang with her, since I'm leaving for Chicago tomorrow morning. ^_^

Gonna go hang with Roni and hopefully meet up with Ali-chan at the airport. <3 Yay, saying 'hi' to friends. :3

Anyways, sittin' around here at Charm's place again, where they're having a dinner party. Hopefully will get to rock that pool table again with my (non-existent) skillz. :x

Happy New Year everyone, and don't be surprised if I have no 'net access at Roni's place. We're going to be watching movies, playing video games, and maybe even having hot lesbian sex. XD

Currently on the computer over at Mike Sokolsky's house, one of my best friends from way back. I've known the kid since I was 2 years old, and he was 9 months. :x Yeah, we go waaaaay back. ^_^

He's nice enough to let me use his computer tonight to update, so yay!

Unfortunately, there's not much updatin' going on. :/ So far nothing interesting in my life has happened (as if there's ever anything interesting going on in Utah) other than the fact that I've caught up with almost everything I've been meaning to catch up to this winter break, with the exception of the Bleach manga. Crap. I knew I would hate it when my parents got home.
First of all, since my parents have been in China for the past 6 months, my mother has canceled our cable internet connection, and we won't have it back up until I leave for Chicago to go and visit the the ex-girlfriend on the 31st.

Therefore...no e-mail, no internet, no blog updates, you get the picture. :/ It also means no One Piece (*sob* I just got caught up to chapter 342 and now there's no more on my computer! ;___;), no more Death Note, no more Bleach, or any sort of anime and manga until I get back home to Boston on the 5th of January. (Unless, you, Omi will be nice and run me the latest chapters of Bleach and One Piece on a CD, for which I will love you forever. *hinthinthint*)

Yes, let me tell you my friends, how much it absolutely BLOWS not to have internet.

Every once in a while, Skuld gets a little down. It's not because nobody loves her (she knows her friends love her very much), or because she's got writer's block (which she actually does have right now), it's because sometimes she's just stuck with nothing to do and no energy to do anything.

I'm sure you guys have all had the feeling before. The "I've got three million things to do but I'm not in the mood to do any of them" feeling.

I could write, yes, but I don't feel like it. I could replay the beginning of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories but I don't feel like it. What do I feel like? Going to sleep? Nope too early for that. Writing fanfic? Nope, no inspiration at the moment. Gakuen Heaven has lost my interest, and I don't feel like TokiMemo Girls Side. I don't feel like starting Angelique, and Guilty Gear hasn't held my interest since more than a year ago.

I want to take a drive, but it's too cold outside and I'm too lazy.

I'm talking with the ex-girlfriend over AIM...but I'm feeling so disconnected to people. Maybe it's because my parents aren't home yet. Maybe it's because I've realized that I don't have any old friends to hang out with anymore around here...just Omi (who I can't see too often because of his girlfriend), Mike Sokolsky, and Charm & Crystal who aren't even going to be around tomorrow, since I'm too sore and bruised to snowboard again. I hope it doesn't snow tomorrow, because I kind of feel like just driving somewhere. Weather'll probably be against me though, and I'll have to stay at home wondering what to do with myself.

Don't feel like catching up on Meine Liebe, Beck, Yakitate Japan, or Bleach right now. Don't feel like reading One Piece or Bleach.

I wish there was something (or someone) to do in this god forsaken state.

Got two cracked out dream entries for ya' here. Looks like my brain really did want to cheer me up after getting that C in Stats. *head desk* Oh well, it's not like I don't know what I'm doing. :x I just...fucked up on the exam...somehow. =_=;; I blame my apathy. Anyways, onto craziness!

Omi is awesome. He's totally saved my ass. Charm and Crystal's parents were originally not going to drive us downtown to the Gateway theatre due to the massive amounts of black ice on the roads, but Omi called at just the right time and he and I went together ot the midnight showing of 'The Phantom of the Opera' movie.

Yeah, so the critics slammed it, but well, I'm a fangirl so I'm obviously biased. I know that Joel Schumacher is the WORST DIRECTOR EVER and I know it could've been better...but oh well. ^_^ Gerard Butler is god-gorgeous as Erik, and the ending makes me want to cry. Oh wait, I did cry. :D

It was an enjoyable experience lying on the lovesacks at the front of the theatre watching Phantom all close-up. <3 *so much love for Erik*

Okay, that's my moment of fangirling. If you've seen Phantom on stage or have any interest in it, you ought to go see it. ^_^ Some new interpretation shows up, and there's a new ending. Huzzah!

Anyways...yeah, I'm all sore today. =_=;; It was the snowboarding, I'm certain. I am in TOTAL PAIN. I can't move my arms, my legs, or my neck without some muscle crying out in protest. :/ It made for interesting driving all the way down to Charm's house. Not only did I get lost numerous times by taking at least three wrong turns by being stuck in the wrong lanes, I had to turn my head around to check my blind spot changing lanes last minute many times. OUCH. *whimpers* I hope my neck isn't sore because I was staring upwards (and drooling) at the movie screen last night. ^_^ Oh, so much love for Erik. :D

Hung out with Mike Sokolsky today, haven't seen him in over a year. ^_^ We went to Hires Big H for some burgers and root beer, but sadly I have to say that there hasn't been root beer that's beat Sunset's brew yet. :/ Oh, how I miss you Sunset. ^_^

I think my parents have decided to disown me. XD Dad's got a bad case of diarrhea back in China, so they won't be able to come back home until Christmas day. This means that I'll be spending nearly an entire week with Charm and >Crystal, not that that's a bad thing, aside from Crystal pwning my ass at Katamari Damacy. *cries* That makes me a sad bunny.

Until then, Charm's parents have bought me a bottle of sour apple puckers so I'll be imbibing on that as I attempt to continue writing fanfiction (yeah right) or finding time to read Bleach, Death Note, and One Piece as I've promised various people. XD *grins*

Now if I can just convince the insurance people to put my car's insurance back on, I'll be able to drive around by myself. XD Yay!

Carlos, my kickass 9.12 professor e-mailed me yesterday to tell me what an awesome job I did in that class given the fact that I had NO background in molecular biology.

I felt so good. ^_^ So I got an A- in 9.12 and a B+ in 9.16, which is pretty good considering I bombed my midterm. Got an A in lab-lab UROP thing, which was pretty expected. I just hope I get an A in 9.07, so I can actually pull my GPA beyond a 4.5 (out of 5.0) this term.

I'm so amused by the fact that I'm sitting here in the computer room at Charm and Crystal's house, and the first thing we do after dropping my luggage off in Charm's room is head into the computer room and climb into the intarweb.

Anyways, had an adventure getting my baggage from an overflowing baggage turnstile, and since my suitcase was at the very top of the pile, furthest away from me, I got to jump onto everybody else's luggage into a grand successful attempt at hauling mine from the pile with many curses that were variations of 'fuck.' ^_^ I enjoyed myself.

The flights were pretty uneventful. Had a two hour-ish layover in Atlanta where I got to sit around and talk about Phantom with Asphodel and write a Harry/Draco fic for HP_tradeoff on LJ. Whoa, two fics in three days?! Isn't being on vacation totally awesome? ^_^

Anyways, yeah. Gonna see if I can get it going and posted tonight, because it's due tomorrow. :x Eep!

Anyways, I'm back here in SLC, hoping to go snowboarding with Charm and Crystal within the next couple of days, and enjoy the absolute CRAZYNESS that is inevitable whenever we hang out together. ^_^

This academic term is over, my friends. ^_^ I have managed to survive not giving a shit about my statistics class (I think I did pretty well on the final, even though I had a bullshit through some probabilities) and absolutely hating my neurophysiology class (the last page kicked my ass, but I killed the rest of it). I made it through all those annoying-as-hell papers and reviews I had to write for 9.12 lab, and haven't yet killed any cells in lab-lab! Go me!

I did well on my General GREs, don't know about my subject GREs yet (but I think I did pretty good on that too, we'll have to see), I got all my grad applications in except for Columbia, and I'm still alive.

w00000000! The term of hell is OVER, bitch! No class for over a month! YEEEEAAAAHHHH! *dances around wildly* Oh, it feels so good. ^_^ Sooooo good.

Seeing Andy Lynn tonight, awesome Fenway House alum from way back in freshman year who was a cool guy. He's the one that got me involved in Mystery Hunt in the first place, and since he's now back from Florence, Italy where he's been studying architecture, it'll be a nice night to hang out with him and the rest of all his friends (and our mutual friends) at Sunset. Kakashi and Destra are coming along too, and it's just going to be a blast. Despite the fact that I've already been drunk off my ass once this week (go RoTK Extended Edition! XD) I feel like getting shitfaced again. :x I'm such a lush. <3

It's the extended edition Return of the King's fault, really. I just got it today. (hee hee, I can hardly feel the keys beneath my fingers as I type!) So I popped RotK in and decided to play the drinking game. (Thanks to Destra, by the way, who gave me food and alcohol as a Christmas present.)

Here are the rules, as per sophomore year:

Thankfully my graduate school applications are about 98% finished. All I have to do now is write somebody at Columbia, read their paper, and ask about their work. Unfortunately there's only person I'm looking into working with over there, so we'll have to see whether or not Columbia is actually worth my effort. I originally applied only to Columbia because Roni wanted to be in New York City...but meh. I started the app, might as well finish it, though I do kind of regret not applying to John's Hopkins. I hear it's really cutthroat over there, which I guess is why I ended up not going.

I want to go to either Stanford, UCSF, or UPenn anyways...so if I don't get into those places I guess I'll just stay around in Boston for another year, maybe work at Langer Lab as a RA or a Tech or hang around at Mass General Hospital and help with research there. *shrugs*

I love how I'm totally apathetic to my future. Hey, I might even decide I want to go and work at Riken in Japan. I guess you never know what life has in store for you.

Anyways, this headache is killing me, which obviously means it's time for me to go and take a nap...or maybe read some fanfiction. (Or finish up my Christmas cards to send out for tomorrow.)

Figured that I'd already talked about Crystal, so it was definitely high time I should talk about Charm!

I don't quite remember how I met Charm in the first place. I think we were going to the same Chinese school, and our parents had sort of known each other previously (given that Charm's father worked in the Physics department alongside my father), so we just sort of hooked up. I guess the rest is history.

Charm's an awesome person, despite the fact that she is so short sometimes I can't find her in a crowd of people. ^_^ Charm is fun, silly, enthusiastic, and I think I have yet to see how she is when she's drunk. (Obviously this situation must somehow be remedied.) Charm has so much dirt on how idiotic I was when I was a child, I'm afraid to get on her bad side because she will unleash all my pent-up-years-worth filth onto me to remind me of my past stupidities. Thank god Charm is a nice person.

Charm is wonderfully talented, amazingly studious (or was, before she hit up Princeton and her study habits went down the tubes), absolutely hilarious, and totally stingy. XD She loves money more than Midou Ban (from Get Backers)loves money. And like Midou Ban, she also loves Ginji. <3

Charm is so cute when she squeals. I just want to huggle her and huggle her and huggle her some more. I hope Charm and I never grow apart, and I also hope that every single year I'll get to see Charm and Crystal in one place so our heads can explode. I wish Charm weren't horrendously straight, because she'd be fun to molest. :p

You better be coming back home before the 19th, Charm, or I am so going to kick your ass. XD

MIT Mystery Hunt!

As the humongous nerd that I am, I just can't wait to apply my nerdly knowledge to awesome puzzles to solve. Unfortunately ACME has met its demise this year due to the team having hit critical mass these past couple of years, so this year me and some of my closer ACME buddies have hit up former-ACME-ites team Pturnips, created by Marc Tanner, whom the Grotto of St. Marc in the Fenway House basement is named after.

Here are the mostly-horribly-inelegant puzzles I had to solve last year, but here are the awesome puzzles my team wrote two years ago. These puzzles are definitely cool, and definitely elegant. :D

See if you can solve any of them. ^_^ In the meantime, off to my last 9.12 class.

Time to talk about Crystal, since she replied to my post first. Oh Crystal, I have so many awesome and fond memories of us as kids. I think I've known you since you were 4 or 5 years old, and that's quite a long time I've known you so far. So what embarassing things should I divulge here for all to see?

I'd have to say that Crystal is a really good friend of mine. I suppose she started off as the little sister of another good friend of mine, but really, Charm and I aren't complete without her. ^_^ We used to be very mean to her when we were little kids, but it's a little better now. We're still mean to her, but she knows how not to get upset about it anymore. :P

A lot of old memories involve the three of us playing at Charm's house. Most of the time we were on the computer. ^^;; Other times, I think we were just hanging out, jumping on Charm's bed, or finding new and inventive ways to make Crystal cry. This often involved mean pranks like putting half a bottle of tabasco sauce in your V8...but hey, without those memories I don't think we'd be as close as we are today.

I remember this one time when I was over at Charm's place for a sleepover and you were sleeping in your parents' room. I can't remember why they left in the morning (probably to go to work), but you were alone in the bed. Deciding that it was high time you woke up, I leapt up the stairs into the bedroom and jumped on the bed all the while shouting "BANZAI!" at the top of my lungs. I'm sure you haven't forgotten that rude awakening. I remember the look of terror on your face as you stared at me and fought to breathe. ^_^ Ah, the awesomeness.

It's also nice for me to make a fool of myself once a while (as we are wont to do when we all gather in one big group), cause I still can't get over the fact that I said, "Wow Crystal, you're thin as a rock" just a little under one year ago. I think we laughed over that one for a good half hour. XD

Hell, we're still laughing. XD

For some reason you, Charm, and I create this incredible vortex of silly that just isn't matched when you're not around. Charm and I have hung out together, and we're just not as random, not as stupid, and not as fun without you. Which means I am certainly going to enjoy the three days I'm staying over at your house this Christmas. How we'll be coherent by the end of it is COMPLETELY beyond me.

Oh, and by the way Crystal, that guy that said "Hey Crystal" to you in your AP Chem lab...that's Omi, my ex-boyfriend. You should say 'hi' to him back. He's too scared to say 'hi' to you again, because apparently the first time he did, you went into such violent spasms that he's afraid your head's going to explode. ^_^

After beating KotOR both with the lightside and the darkside ending, I have come to the conclusion that evil always triumphs because good is dumb.

Lightside ending is LAME, my friends, LAME. It reminds me of the cheesiness of the endings of episode I and episode IV. Bleh, nasty things, those endings.

Being evil is much more rewarding. ^_^

See? I feel rewarded. I'm evil.

It's 6am, and I just beat KotOR. ^_^
Dark side ending first of course, because everybody knows that no matter how nice I try to be, I'm actually evil deep down inside. :3

Now that I've been up for about 4 hours, I think it's time for me to return to bed! I love being a total lazy ass.

2am and I have already been sleeping for about 6 hours. =_=;; I feel so...I dunno. Nightshifted, maybe? XD *grins* Go me.

I figured I'd talk about my clone first because he is, after all, my clone and I love him muchlies because of it.

Ed and have had some totally awesome times together, both in real life and especially on the phone. Definitely the most memorable event in real life was when Ed and Kakashi carried me out of Sunset on my 21st birthday because I was too damn drunk to hardly move. :3 Still, despite the amount of drunkenness, Ed stayed around afterwards (probably because he was staying at my place and therefore didn't have anywhere to go... >_> technicalities, technicalities!) and we cuddled and talked.

I first discovered Ed when I was getting into the Guilty Gear fandom, and I found that he had written a lot of FAQs and done a lot of the translations for Guilty Gear. I also saw him around periodically on the Game Combos Forums, and Roni talked about him quite a bit. We always got confused for each other too, since I'm Skuld and he's Skuld no Shinpu (Skuld's Priest), which people would often shorten to just "Skuld." So one day I plucked up the courage and IMed him and said 'Hi, it's Skuld. Yeah, that chick that roleplays Sol Badguy in our RP blog.' From there we quickly realized we had A LOT in common (up to and including our preferences for pornography), and Ed eventually decided that I was a clone of him the Chinese government made to guilt him into being more Chinese. XD And thus, the clonage between us was born. (We even ordered the same food at my birthday party at Sunset. :3 Clones!)

Occasionally Ed and I will still say the same thing or do the same thing, in which case I always break out with, "CLONAGE!" and internet high-five him.

I'm very sad that Ed lives in Ohio and not here in Boston with me. Living in the same city as Ed, or even the same house as Ed (no doubt I'd drag him into Fenway if I could) would be totally awesome. I definitely don't see enough of Ed. Ed is one of the few people I know that I trust completely, and if there's something going on in my life that I need advice on, I never hesitate to call him up or e-mail him or IM him so we can talk things over. (Oddly enough, all of said trust-completely people are actually guys. I just...I dunno, don't trust women. :x I know them too well. ^^;;)

All in all, *LOVE* for Ed, because he is the coolest clone a clone can ask for. :3

Been watching some early pirated clips of The Phantom of the Opera movie, and I get all tingly because Gerard Butler is...amazing. Totally drool-worthy. I don't normally like his shaggy/rugged/trying-to-be-Aragorn look...but he is amazing as the Phantom. Sexiest horribly disfigured man you'll ever meet.

I don't know how many fangirls he had before he made this movie...but now, he'll have a whole legion. :3

*breaks into lots more little squees*

I can't wait until the movie comes out. Good thing I'll be sitting down, because my knees will surely turn to jelly during some of the scenes. (He looks amazing in "Music of the Night." Oooh...*melt*)

This has been circulating around LiveJournal lately, so I figured I'd post it on my blog too. :3 If you guys want me to talk about the awesome memories we've had, the good times and embarassing moments, feel free to let me wax poetical. :3

...I don't actually need ego boosting as I'm feeling quite awesome at the moment (I'm Light Side, baby! Look at my character resist the Dark Side temptations! Too bad I can't say the same for myself... >_>), but drop me a line anyway. Keep me entertained as I continue punt work and finals.

The amount of work I did yesterday was absolutely ZERO. I'm not sure if I should be proud of that, or whether I should bang my head against a wall. One of my 9.12 papers is late, and I could've turned it in today but I didn't, and I still have all of grad school apps to actually FINISH, as well as my personal statement.

It's so NOT good that I haven't finished KotOR because that means that soon I will be sitting around with no class, and I'll have to choose between funtime and studying for finals, and that's not much of a choice there, for that slacker brain of mine. On KotOR news, I finished up Tattooine (never did Mission's sidequest, I might go and finish that up after Korriban) and am now working on getting Korriban done (hopefully I can do that tonight), and then I'm probably going to head off to Manaan. =_=;; KotOR is so totally eating my soul. I just need another violet crystal so I can have my two-handed violet lightsabers thing I had in my dream way back in sophomore year of high school. I already have the violet double lightsaber, but dammit, I want my two violet lightsabers! *shakes double lightsaber menacingly*

Just a question for those of you who might know, if you're playing a female character do you still get those romance scenes with Bastila? :3 Cause if you did, I would feel sooooo mighty fine, because Bastila is HOT. ^_^

Anyhoos...I got some work to do around the library here, so I'll catch all you meatbags later. :3

Missed 9.07 yet again today...this must be the fourth or fifth time in a row that I've skipped out on class to sleep. =_=;; This is what going to bed at 4am does to me. :/ Go lazy Skuld!

On another note, the PC version of Gakuen Heaven I was torrenting last night finished downloading, and dude... *shakes head* The only thing I can say is, "If you want the full Gakuen Heaven experience, you'll have to buy it for the Playstation 2."

First of all, Gakuen Heaven requires Japanese language support. I think I should've restarted my computer to make sure that Win2K supported all the characters, but when I found out what the PC version was like, I just didn't want to bother. First of all, all the PC version of Gakuen Heaven has is: the images (which you can find online anyway), the background music (often rather bland), and loads and loads of text. Unless you are able to read a fair amount of Japanese (that is, unless you're kanji's better than mine) you're not going to be able to figure out what exactly is going on. =_=;;

Unlike the PS2 version, there are NO VOICES. You never hear any of the characters talk, which totally detracts from the entire experience of the game. Boy love is better when you can hear the characters talk. It just makes the entire experience more worthwhile. And I tell you, the voice actors for Gakuen Heaven are amazing. :3 We even have Miki Shinichirou and Okiayu Ryoutarou. You just can't turn that down!

The PS2 version has also added more scenes than the PC version. You get happy post-coital bliss, at least with Naruse Yukihiko's ending (and I'm sure you get something like it with other endings too), so...
even though I only have the lame Type B edited version of Gakuen Heaven on my PS2, I'd rather play that than the PC version. By a LONG SHOT.

Spray hasn't set the release date for Gakuen Heaven: Okawari~! (Okawari! means "seconds!" or "more!" as anyone who's watched Naruto eat at Ichiraku Ramen will know), which is the sequel, possibly even-more-cool-stuff-added remake of the game. (Not sure which, but sure as hell I'm going to get it.)

Either way, if you want to play Gakuen Heaven, I strongly suggest you buy it for your PS2. The PC game just isn't really worth the effort because you can get all the screenshots somewhere else, without having to click through three million page scrolls of boredom. Or if you can't find an old version of Gakuen Heaven and don't want to visit me to play Type B, you can always wait for Okawari! to come out, which most certain will have more scenes, more prettiness (both auditory and visual), and more boy loving than any of its other previous incarnations.
