Skuld's Winter Holiday 2004/2005

And now for...
the summary of Skuld's winter holiday! Yaaaay! (And there was much rejoicing)

Charm and Crystal
The first part of the holiday was spent at Charm and Crystal's house, because my own parents failed to return from China before I did. Oh well, that's okay, because Charm and Crystal's house is far more enjoyable than my own. ^_^

There Charm, Crystal and I did various things, including snowboarding, playing pool, playing Uno, playing with digital cameras, and had crazy conversations. I still can't remember where Charm and I went one night after talking about midgets and dwarves, but we were giggling like mad. >_>

Anyways, here's some videos to amuse you all:

- Charm suddenly realizing I'm recording her
- Crystal, Charm's little sister, says 'hi'
- Crystal wonders what a furry is

Charm's also got a picture of me scratching my ass in my PJs on her camera, once she gives it to me I shall upload. >_> ...maybe. <_<

...did I just say I'd upload a pic of me scratching my own ass? ^^;; *sweatdrop*

Home Sweet Home
On the morning of the 26th of December my own mother finally picked me up to go home. Home was, much to my misfortune, rather boring. We didn't have internet yet, and all I had for amusement was my wu-xia VCDs (somehow Tian Long Ba Bu was hard to get into) and whatever manga/anime was on my computer. This is where I did the most catching up on manga. :x Thankfully I only spent about a total of 4 days at home, otherwise I would've been driven out of my mind with boredom.

Chicago
On the 31st I flew to Chicago, where I was going to hang with the ex-girlfriend for about 4 or 5 days. Surprisingly the time passed ridiculously quickly. I have no idea where it went, cause it sure wasn't long enough. I missed Ginga and Haku because we never got the chance to hang out, but somehow my days were filled with stuff anyways (probably because I slept until noon). There, I got to finish watching FLCL and Hellsing, both of which are pretty good series.

I got Chaos Legion from Roni for Christmas, which made me feel awesome because I adore hack-and-slash games (mostly for the slash *cough*). I also played a lot of pool over at her place, and finally got myself some skillz. ^_^ Yay!

The first night at Roni's we went over to her friends' New Years Eve party where we watched an awesome B-movie (>_> I wonder if it even qualifies as B-movie...) called Max Magician and the Legend of the Rings which was true MST material. Not only did the DVD box itself contain a typo (yay for 'magigcal' adventures!), the extras on the DVD contained footage of stuff not even related to the movie itself. In other words, the movie was ridiculously hilariously awesome, but would have been better had I been drunk at the time and not involved in a game of Cutthroat.

The highlight of my trip to Roni's place was of course, the last day, which we spent productively by eating chips, ice cream, and tacos, drinking Guinness, and watching the entire extended edition trilogy of the Lord of the Rings. It was pure bliss. By the end we were so giddy that we weren't quite sure what was going on, and I can't quite remember what we were talking about, but a lot of it involved slashiness and making fun of the pink Orc in RotK. We apparently learned a few things from watching it too, but none of that we really remember. I think they involved slashy things and silly things, though I really can't be sure, because I was too drugged up on alcohol and fatty foods for my brain to really function properly.

All I remember is that Roni hates the Pink Orc (whose name is Gothmog), and her favorite Hobbit is the crotchety one you see in FotR and RotK (you know, the one that's always scowling). My favorite Orc is the one who falls off the siege tower randomly in RotK, and I like the dude who bounces off the roof of the first circle of Minas Tirith after he gets picked up by one of the Nazgul. <_< I think a lot of our jokes also involved Sam and Frodo, and Frodo's line, "naked in the dark" which followed Sam's "strawberries with cream" line. The next time I watch this series, I'm definitely running it in the background with the commentary while I do my work. ...cause yeah, that's just awesome. XD

The Trip Home
Chicago really hates me. >_> I swear it does. It never wants me to go there, and when I'm there, it doesn't want me to leave. I left the day the horrible blizzard started, and was one of the few, few lucky people to have made it out on the few, few planes going out of O'Hare that day. My original flight had been cancelled, and I had to connect to a flight in Atlanta with 40 minutes. Naturally, there being a storm in Chicago, my plane was over 20 mins. late, and less than 20 mins. to switch terminals in Atlanta, and make my flight. I was running like hell, needless to say. I made it home to Boston, but my suitcase didn't, and I had to wait until 3am for them to deliver it to me.

>_> The trip was ass, but airplane trips always are, being totally cramped and unable to sleep, and having some sketchy guy feeling you up on his sleep. :x Yeah, that's what happened on the first flight. =______= *sighs*

Oh well, I'm home. That's all that matters.

And before I forget, Roni and her little sister re-dyed my hair red over the break. ^_^ Well, most of it is red, the tips at the back and are purple. ^_^ check out the pics!

It'll probably wash out soon, wherein I'll dye my hair back to black so I can be a happy, wide-eyed L for Mel-ru. ^_^

Yay for Death Note and stuff.

...okay, I be crashing right about now. =_____=
