FOR THE WIN!

| | Comments (8)

As of 5am this morning, Katsushiro is done. Many, many, many thanks to Ali-chan who spent two hours making my obi when she was dead tired from being since 6am. She let me sleep and saved me so much time. ;____; *love for Ali-chan*

The only things I need to do before I head off to Anime Boston this afternoon around 3/3:30-ish are:

1. Buy ace bandage for Luffy
(Yes, I'm binding myself. Yes, I'm going as Luffy today. I figured it would be a nice idea since I went as Luffy on Friday at my first AniBos)

2. Buy cold medicine
(Gah! I wanted to enter the karaoke contest today, but there's no way in hell that's happening with my cold the way it is! >_< And I'm out of medicine too, which just makes it that much worse.)

3. Buy green hairspray
(for Katsushiro, since my hair and its extension is Skuld-brown colored. Even just a little bit of the can for green highlights would do.)

4. Write the outline for my panel.
(hurk! I've done all the research, I just need to write it up now!)

See y'all at AniBos! ^__^ (I can't believe I'm this genki and awake after <5 hours of sleep. MIT has trained me well.)

my ass just fell off

Apparently this is something that Lucas said at C3:

"I've been very surprised. Star Wars is something to enjoy and take away what you can from it that maybe helps you in your lives. Don't let it take over your lives. That's what they all say about Trekkies, and I know Star Wars fans don't do that."

...
...
...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

That's really funny, Georgie boy, that's really funny.
Which rock have you been living under for the past oh...30 years?

As much as my instinctive Trekkie nature may bristle with indignation, I know that it is both true and compliment that Star Trek fans, are not as hardcore as Star Wars fans. o_o In the least. Feel free to cite cases in which I am obviously wrong.

In the meantime, I'm going go into the corner and keep chortling for a bit. XD

I just fucked up. Now I have to spend the next two hours of my life taking stiches apart without a seam ripper and sewing my sleeve all over again.

Dear God, let me be struck by lightning right now so that I do not have to sew anymore.

Dear God, please let me be graduating and out of here already.

Dear God, please let me be able to breathe through my nose.

Dear God, where the hell did the Maul/Obi fans go to, and why won't they come back?

Dear God, why does my life suck, and yet be so good to me other times? =_=;; Consistency, please?

My roommate sucks and is incredibly smelly. I want to move out because I hate her so much. :/

*so sad*

And the "Man! Those are so cute! You're friend is so lucky to have roommate like you! :) O/Q OTP!!!" is just twisting the knife.

One day, I will have my revenge. At least Anonymous loves me. ;____; *sniff*

Allergies + Stress = eep!

| | Comments (9)

I am now completely unsure as to whether my current state of not being able to breathe through my nasal passages is due to the fact that I have a cold (I usually get colds in the spring) or to the fact that I have allergies (damn blooming trees!), or some horrendous combination of the two. I usually have runny noses during allergies, not stuffed up ones! You'd think that having both at once would cancel each other out, but no, this is the most plugged up I've ever been. =_=

Not even my usual cold/allergy medicine is working, and I don't fancy giving a 20-minute presentation with a stuffed up nose. This better be clear in an hour. -_-;; *sigh*

Still no progress on costume-age, and I am happily in denial land. (Costume? What costume? What con? :D) Today's my last real night of intense homework before Anime Boston, so I think I'm just going to have to sew like frickin' crazy for the next three nights. =___= I also don't want to think about the prospect that I need a wig, and I need to attach a ponytail to that wig. :/ That's a problem, because I have no idea how, and a cursory websearch isn't helping.

*gulp* Some help here, you knowledgable people out there? ^^;; *big sweatdrop*

w00t, it looks like the Boston Globe published that article they were doing on yaoi. ^_^ Huzzah. Skuld's got a small mention in there (eep! My real name! XD) so check it out!

He loves him, she loves them.

Go me!

under the weather

When I went to bed last night my throat hurt like hell and I had a really bad stuffy nose. Now it's morning, and my throat still hurts like hell but my stuffy nose is gone. =_=;; I think I might be coming down with something. ¬_¬ Hooray, just in time for Anime Boston too. >_< Hey, I thought I got all my sickness done and over with in January when I had the humongous almost week-long fever thing. Oh, goddammit it's spring and I always get sick in the spring. Rawr.

Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll just be a throat virus, instead something full-blown like strep or strep + fever.

Mmm...coppery

Those lightsabers drew blood tonight.

Lightsaber melee just reached a new level of hardcore.

Kung Fu Hustle(r)

| | Comments (10)

Just got back from Kung Fu Hustle. Wow, I actually really liked that movie. It's better than Stephen Chow's recent ones, which is really saying something. The entire audience was laughing... ... or maybe that was just me and Boing laughing really loudly, but it was way good.

They had a lot of references to modern Western movies (Spider Man, The Shining, and probably more that felt like deja vu to me but I couldn't place), and almost all the kung fu references were ones that I've seen before in the popular wu-xia genre. (Go Jin Yung!) X3 I guess they had to claim the Hama Gong (Toad Style) from Kun Lun Shan, otherwise Jin Yung's lawyers would get on their asses. But we all know where the Toad Style comes from. (Ou Yang Feng represent! .... ... -_-)

Anyways, on the fic front, it seems the LJ fans have formed 30 Lemons in response to the 30 Kisses community. The basic deal is that there are 30 themes, and you pick a couple and write thirty fics dealing with that theme. Obviously for 30 Lemons, you have to write, well, thirty lemons. I'd do it, but I don't think I've written 30 lemons in my entire career. :/ They'd probably start sounding the same after like...3.

Nobody's signed up for Star Wars yet (it's only a matter of time until the rabid Master-Apprentice fangirls find out, and then they'll really have a war to see who gets to write the Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan), but I'm in no rush because there's no real deadline, I have finals, and somehow I don't think anybody's going to sign up for any of my odd pairings I've been feeling like writing.

The part that amused me the most was that someone signed up for the Phantom/Raoul. X3 Now that is something I really want to see/read. HOLY SHIT, dude. Somebody's going to have to get real creative with #27, the Mile High Club. I guess the highest you'll ever get in Paris is the top of the Opera House...meh, close enough I guess.

...I amuse myself way too much.

w00t! Go watch Kung-Fu Hustle, my friends, and then after that go watch some of the real stuff.

sage advice, my friends

| | Comments (8)

It's that time of the year when you guys can talk about me behind my back. X3 That's right, my allergies are so bad now that spring has finally hit Boston that when I sneeze I will have no idea whether it's the pollen I'm allergic to, or people talking about me. XD So here's your chance, get it while it's hot.

Tonight I will sing and dance about how hosed I am for the next...umm...rest of term. I have a major presentation on Tuesday the 26th for a paper in my Developmental Neurobiology class (which means I'll need to have it read and mostly understood tonight, so I can get help on it 10am tomorrow morning), I have a novel to read by Wednesday, a movie to watch by Monday, in addition to scripts and sprites due for my videogame class. I fail to understand how 3 classes can hose me down (okay, who am I kidding, I had 3 classes last term and was also hosed up the wazoo), but that's the way life goes. Not to mention the fact that this is the last week before Anime Boston, so I had better get moving on that Katsushirou costume (all I have right now is the pattern cut out) or I will be pulling 60 hour all-nighters near con time.

And the moral of the story, kids, is don't punt your work. :3 ...but I know you're not going to take my advice anyways.

God's mocking me

| | Comments (8)

So I come to my Chinese Cultural Politics class, and one of my classmates, Stepka has her suitcase with her.

I say, "Hey Stepka. What's that for?"

She replies with, "I'm catching a plane flight right after class."

My brain still hadn't connected the logic dots at this point. "Oh, we're you going?"

She says, "I'm going to Indianapolis for a Star Wars con."

I let out this amazing, "NOOoooOOOOooo!" (Obi-Wan would've been proud. *sniffles*) "I want to go to C3! CURSES!"

The gods are mocking me. *cries a load* If I had the money and the time, I'd so totally be over there RIGHT THE FUCK NOW. Okay, not even the time. Just the money. CURSE YOU, GEORGE LUCAS! For making me who I am today and then laughing at me.

The awesome game of Ultimate Frisbee I played today (totally on random, we just went outside and joined a group already playing) almost makes up for how God is making fun of me. Almost. ;_____;

kick me

| | Comments (8)

I think I really need to be kicked. Somebody really just needs to come over here and give me a solid roundhouse to the ass so I can get up and get working.

I had so many things I wanted to do over my four day break, and so far only one of them (my homework for my Chinese Cultural Politics class) has gotten done. I haven't: scanned in the doujinshi I want to sell, done any cosplay-related things, written the fics I've wanted to, caught up at all on my 9.18 reading backlog, done any research for my final paper, done any of my homework for my videogame class...

And the list of things I've punted just goes on and on. It's ridiculous. I don't know what this lack-of-working is. =_= I try to work, I really honestly do, and then time just flies by me and before I know it things are due and I haven't done a thing.

I am going to be so screwed in the next two weeks. No, more like MONTH. Maybe I'll pull the cord on the intarweb and hide in my hole so that I can finally get some work done. *bangs head against wall* ARGH!

COCK ROCKET

After watching Orgazmo with Chris:

Chris: So, you're the Lisa from Utah!
Skuld: Gah!
Chris: What happened to your youthful innocence?
Skuld: Darth Maul and Obi-Wan took it away.
Chris: ... ... yeah, that sounds about right.

On a slight tangent, those of you who haven't heard "Cells" by The Servant really ought to listen to it. I've been listening to this song on loop for the past two days while writing (Maul/Obi) fanfiction like crazy. o_o It's from one of the Sin City trailers, so it can't all be bad. I like this group so much I even ordered their CD (they're not released in the US, so the only place you an get them is from CD Baby), which is something that NEVER HAPPENS for Skuld, given the pirate that she is. That's what happens when you can't find it on Torrent.

Yarr, matey.

It's 5am, and Kunal, Ian,

| | Comments (8)

It's 5am, and Kunal, Ian, Destra and I just went across the street again to play with lightsabers, do handstands in the grass, swing on the swingsets, and wake up the sleeping bums in the park.

This night (morning?) has been awesome.

Lazy Saturday

| | Comments (8)

Another one of those days when it's sunny outisde and nobody wants to go outside and play. I really missed last Sunday when Destra and I were lobbing the frisbee at each other. I'm not good enough to throw a decent forehand but, but my backhand's not bad. :/

Going outside alone is really boring too. *sighs* I really need to find something to do with my life instead of sitting here in front of the computer wishing something interesting would happen other than getting off my ass to finally do my homework.

=____= Blar...homework.

On the bright side, yesterday was pretty awesome. Not only did I have a nap at 10pm, there was some nice drinking and a nice game of kings that happened. I lucked out and was the least naked person there with my underwear, a shirt, and my Darth Maul boxers still on by the end of the game, despite six total attemps at roshambo for clothes. :3 Score.

I also found a fellow Gungrave fan, who thinks that Gungrave's the best anime he's ever seen. WORD UP. I need to hang with this guy more.

Tickets for Star Wars: Episode III are ON SALE NOW.

I've already bought 4 tickets (which is pretty much all I can afford at the time) for the midnight (12:01am) showing on May 18th at the AMC Fenway theatre. Tickets are currently all taken. If you want to come with me and my group, get your tickets here.

I need confirmation from the girlfriend on whether or not she's going to be able to make it before I can get her a ticket. E-mail/call me ASAP.

I wish I had a clue...

| | Comments (9)

I wish I had a little more of a clue over this housemanager thing. *argh*

Anyways, so a while ago we got Abatement Orders from the Boston Licensing Department (Fenway House technically counts as a 'dorm' as all frats do, so we need a housing license from Boston every year) because our fire sprinkler system wasn't up to code. Apparently to renew our license this year we'll either have to take our lofts down (no way in hell is that happening) or put sprinklers under the lofts.

Lt. Cushing was supposed to come and inspect sometime early next week on whether or not we had fulfilled our part of the order (either getting new sprinkler heads put in or taking down the lofts), and I rush my ass to get a work order done with Mik-Ron Fire Protection to have this happen before I get my ass kicked by the government by not doing this Abatement thing.

Just a couple of hours after I send off a signed contract, MIT starts sending out e-mails about the possibility of Mik-Ron doing a little bit of foul play; that is -- overcharging for their work and creating more work when the fire code says it's not needed. Well, that's just great. They also send out an e-mail saying we should wait on any work orders, because MIT is going to talk to Mik-Ron about a few things, like possibly negotiating a price or dealing with the supposed foul play.

THAT'S JUST PEACHY. Couldn't that e-mail have come...say... TWO HOURS AGO when I was talking with the Mik-Ron people on the phone? FUCK.

I hate my life. I don't want to be housemanager anymore. >_<

Awesomeness

Skuld, Evan, and Andy are all going to UCLA together. BIG W00T. I guess Penn just couldn't hold to the awesomeness that is LA. :x I have barely enrolled, and already I have a posse. Hopefully we'll also be able to find a gorgeous 3 bedroom house/condo in West Hollywood or Santa Monica, and we'll totally be set. KICKASS.

Battlestar Speculation

| | Comments (332)

I like to think about things that don't currently have to do with my academic life. Sometimes academia gets so dull and boring. Of course, I could be using my brain power for working out a schedule of catching up to my reading in 9.18 thus far this term, or I could be researching ways to rip sprites off GBA Roms, or I could be speculating on Battlestar Galactica.

I think I'll do the latter. View the extended entry for Skuld's thoughts.

Vortex of Yaoi Doom part 2

| | Comments (10)

Yes, I realize how late this is. My excuse is that my camera got dropped and broke at Vericon, so I was unable to take pictures with anything remotely decent until recently when I got my ass and sent in my brokeass camera for a nice refurb.

So for all those of you who have never been to the Vortex of Yaoi Doom version 2.0, here are pictures!

- Destra at her desk
- The door to the VOYD
- The sewing corner
-
The mantle over the non-functional fireplace
- Skuld's desk. Note the gratuitous nerdiness apparent there. XD

Cool Link of the Day

Today, Penny Arcade beats out VG Cats. Oh hell yes. XD

I do love commentary on large groups of otaku. I think the more I read Something Awful the more cynical and apathetic I become. Maybe I'm just growing up and growing out of being a fangirl.

Capture the flag on Saturday night was one of the best CTF games I've ever played at MIT. It was also one of the biggest which may have attributed to its coolness. Since it was Campus Preview Weekend (the weekend where all the pre-froshlings visit) about half of the players were pre-frosh, the rest were mostly seasoned MIT CTF players or students. They handed out Capture the Flag shirts (dark grey and light grey) to separate out the teams, and we got to playing.

Normally I get caught at least once a game, but this time Destra and I managed to survive both rounds without getting caught at all, despite sneaking pretty deep into enemy territory. The first game actually lasted a little bit under 2 hours (hey, flags are hard to find when you're playing inside half of MIT's campus) wherein we almost lost because the other team actually found our flag first. They weren't able to keep a hold of though, as we were playing defense really well. At the end of the game we had over 20 people from the other team in our jail, and we had enough guards that jailbreak was next to impossible. ^_^ Destra and I managed to capture a couple peopl e in the alleys just before the game ended, so we had a lot of fun.

The second game only lasted about 45 minutes before the opposing team found our flag. It wasn't very well hidden in my opinion (putting it outside on a maintenance door? You've got to be shitting me), but what can you do? :D Destra and I decided halfway through our sneaking (Snake? SNAKE? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!) to do a jailbreak, and we sneaked all the way furthest into enemy terroritory and did this awesome jailbreak by running through Lobby 7... except there wasn't anybody in jail. -_-;; At least it was cool. :D Destra and I took off in opposite directions, managed not to get caught, and then found out the game was over. :D By then it was nearly 3am so we went back home on the last saferide.

I really hope there's one more CTF game before the term ends.

Anyways, Mondays hate me. I got up at 9am after not heaving nearly enough sleep, I even showered and ate breakfast and still managed to make it on time to lab, when my supervisor tells me she's really busy this week and we'll have to meet on the weekend. =___= I'm of half a mind to go find a couch somewhere and crash for a couple of hours. >_> *sigh* Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

70+

| | Comments (8)

It's 72 degrees outside baby, and the sun is still shining.

I'm putting on a pair of shorts, grabbing a frisbee, and going outside. Booyaka.

Finally got Destra to watch the new Battlestar Galactica! ;___; She seems to hate Caprica!Boomer though. *sniffles* That makes me sad. ._. I kinda like Boomer...¬_¬ all of them. (Grace Park is so t3h hotness. o_o So pretty...)

Anyways, went drinking to Sunset last night; it was a fun night. :3 We had a lot of people show up, and it was good. I got a nice oyster stout (smoothest stout I've ever had) and a glass of mead (it's like alcoholic honey! Yum!), so now I can say that I've had some before.

Nothing really happened today or yesterday, so nothing interesting to relate other than the massive amount of stupid people I encounter daily on the interweb and my continual obsession over Star Wars. I figure if I starve the obsession out, it'll eventually go away. ... hopefully before May 19th, but we shall see about that. ^^;;

Oh yes, Darth Maul muse, we shall see about that. x_x

Capture the Flag tonight at Lobby 7pm, midnight. Be there or the suck.

on the meme wagon

| | Comments (9)

Jumpin' on the meme wagon once more.
I got this meme from just about everybody.

For those of you not interested in memes, I suggest you guys take a gander at The best 25 Sesame Streets skits ever, or so this one guy says.

a. Post a list of 15 fandoms.
b. Have your friends list guess your favourite character from each one.
c. When guessed, bold the line, include the character name, and write a sentence about why you like that character.

My favorite fandoms in chronological order:

1. Star Trek: The Next Generation

2. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

3. Star Wars - Darth Maul [naruto_nerd]
I have to say there was always something that drew me to Darth Maul, even when I was looking at publicity pictures in Time Magazine before TPM was released. I think it was the intensity, the presence he posessed onscreen which in my opinion, is still unrivalled in Star Wars to date. Darth Maul is badass and he knows it. I like that sense of confidence in people. I like people who know who they are and what they're going to do. It's damn hot and well, the awesome wushu moves don't hurt. ^_~

4. Battlestar Galactica (the new one) - Galactica!Boomer [Dev]
This one was pretty tough for me. It was hard for me to pick a favorite character in the new BSG series because I love them all -- even wimpy, wretched Gaius Baltar. I think I feel for Galactica!Boomer the most though, because I know how it feels to be the only different one amongst a whole sea of people, and to not want your difference to be true.

5. Final Fantasy VI - Edgar [naruto_nerd]
I think Edgar Roni Figaro was the first fictional character I ever had a crush on. To my dismay, I have a big soft spot for womanizers and playboys, at least in imaginary realms. And you must admit, he was pretty damn awesome because not only did he have that chainsaw and that drill, he could hold the Atma Weapon.

6. Final Fantasy VII - Sephiroth [Mikey]
I have a thing for silver (not white! Silver!) hair. I have no idea where it comes from, but silver hair is one of my kinks. Add that to the fact that Sephiroth is amazingly good-looking and a complete and total badass (see the Darth Maul argument, though I have to admit he doesn't quite have Darth Maul's intensity), so I don't see why all the girls haven't fallen for him. o_o Apparently some girls prefer the personality-devoid eggplant known as Cloud Strife. *shrugs* More Sephiroth for me, I guess.

7. Final Fantasy X - Auron [naruto_nerd]
Despite being a struggling-to-pass-classes MIT freshman at the time, Auron really caught my eye. He was one of the few to break Skuld's "I like bishounen/seinen" rule, and to this day I'm quite sure why. I really identified with Auron, which I find rather weird because I feel there's nothing about me to really identify with. Perhaps it was his determination and that he knew where his fate lay and still wasn't afraid to do what he had to. That's pretty badass. (See a trend here, my friends?)

8. Chrono Trigger - Magus & Frog [Mikey]
I must admit I don't remember much about Chrono Trigger. I think I liked Magus and Frog because not only were they both badass, they were very different from the rest of the crew. I felt they really had pasts which changed them and shaped them, and I think that gave them an extra depth which I felt I was in touch with. And hey, they were kinda cute too. :3 I've always loved little froggies. ^_^ They're so adorable. *squee*

9. Condor Heroes (She Diao/Shen Diao) - Yang Guo [naruto_nerd]
I don't think anybody's actually seen/read this, but I'll write a few sentences anyway. It's all about his devotion to what he believes, and how he's willing to stand up and tell others he doesn't give a shit about what they think of him, he's going to do what he wants anyway. There are many times I wish I could be little more like him.

10. Knights of the Old Republic

11. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Marvin [anasai]
Marvin amused me greatly. At the time I was reading the series (and I was pretty young back then), I could find nothing more amusing than the fact that Marvin was an eternally depressed droid with low expectations. Best commentary ever.

12. One Piece (one left) - Luffy [naruto_nerd]
If I could be any anime character, I'd be Luffy, and I wouldn't even think twice about it. In a lot of ways Luffy leads my dream life. He's completely angst-free. He kicks a lot of ass. He knows what he wants to do and he's going to do it -- no ifs, ands, or buts. And he knows about the value of friendship of what being a nakama is all about, and I think a little bit of One Piece is what the whole world needs.

13. Tolkien's Arda (LotR & The Silmarillion)

14. Farscape - John Crichton [anasai]
You can't beat John Crichton. Aeryn is a close second with her complete badassness (remember in the mini-series when she'd just given birth and was shooting her way out of an ambush? Yeah. BADASS.), but it's hard to beat John who is obviously unstable, has some of the best lines in the whole damn show, and names the Scorpious-voice in his head "Harvey." As a testament to how hardy mankind is, I salute you, John Crichton.

15. Redwall

Guess away friends. :3 I picked a lot of non-obvious fandoms.

Apathy

| | Comments (13)

I was very sad last night that Destra was tired and Malima was going clubbing, so there was nobody to go outside with me to play with my new lightsabers. .___. *sad* So I stayed at home, played some KotOR and did some work. *gasp*

Senioritis and apathy are at an all-time high for me. I don't think I've ever cared less about what's currently going on in my life. All I want is to graduate, go to Japan for a couple months, and then settle down in LA. Unfortunately this "I want to graduate" thing has nothing to do whatsoever with "doing work for the class I need to pass in order to graduate" thing. =___= I am full of laziness, as always. I don't know why. I enjoy undergrad here at MIT, despite how hard and grueling it was, I have really awesome memories. I guess I'm just suffering from burnout or something like that. And I'm burning out everywhere.

I don't even want to go to Anime Boston anymore. At least not on Friday. First of all, I've got work from 12-2pm, class from 2-5pm, and Steer Roast starts at 5pm. If it comes down to an anime con and Steer Roast, I might just go to Roast. Steer Roast is MIT's largest party of the year, complete with mudwrestling, gambling, sex, drugs, strippers, live bands, a large BBQ in the courtyard lit by flaming rolls of toilet paper to Wagner's "Flight of Valkyries..." Yeah...it's a party. A really awesomely huge party. A lot of alums in the area come back regularly to Steer Roast, but since this is my last year on this side of the continent, I really do want to go to Roast. There're always anime cons, but there's only one Steer Roast a year.

There's only three more weekends until we have to finish sewing costumes for Anime Boston, and I haven't even finished one. My desire to do Legato again has hit zero (it's pointless since I might not even be going to AniBos on Friday anyway) and I haven't even started on Katsushirou for Samurai 7. Luckily L is easy and I won't have to do much to whip him out...but seriously all I want to do is stay at home, sleep, and geek out over Star Wars with friends. I think I really need a good kick in the nuts to get me going here, cause I have no motivation to do anything whatsoever.

I think I'm going to blame George Lucas, cause more than AniBos I want to be going to C3.

Mission accomplished

It took me less than an hour; I even had the time to head over to Old Navy to grab myself a pair of nice flip-flops for the spring/summertime.

- 2 purple lightsabers (Destra and Malima)
- 2 green lightsabers (for me, cause I wanna see if I can go two-handed since I suck at a double)
- 1 red lightsaber (for the house)
- 1 blue lightsaber (also for the house)

That's 6 total, and then you add Malima's other two and my double...and you have MAYHEM.

Huzzah. *happiest little Sith in the entire world*

Wednesday ugh

I can't remember the last time I woke up and got up before 6:30am for anything other than a plane flight I had to catch. O_o;; Of course, this was precipitated by the drunken passing out at 10:30pm last night. =_=;; You see, I was originally planning to get drunk on Tuesday night and not on Monday night, but somehow I got suckered into drinking both nights, which does miracles for my GPA, let me tell you.

It all started yesterday afternoon when after class I called up Destra and we decided to take a trip to the FAO Schwarz on Boylston to buy more lightsabers and bash each other down the streets of Boston (because we're the biggest nerds on the planet). Much to our dismay we got to the place where the FAO Schwarz used to be, and belatedly found out that the store had closed, and that the only decent toy store within reach of public transportation was in the Galleria in Cambridge, which would've taken us about an hour to get there.

So we gave up but went into the Prudential to see if there was anything worth checking out. Of course there wasn't, and before going we decided to stop off inside the Legal Sea Foods and get a beer at the bar. The beer turned into soup and some raw oysters (yum!) and that turned into getting shots and more drunk when we got home. It was about 7:30pm by the time we got home, and since it was getting dark, the drinking just kept going downhill.

I don't exactly recall what happened last night, but it did not involve new lightsabers or bashing, but did involve many games of Egyptian Ratscrew (all of which I lost) and Malima and Destra trying to tie me up with duct tape. The tieing up worked for them but I did put up a pretty good drunken fight. Kicked Malima a few times and definitely head-butted Destra a little more than twice. Unfortunately Malima's got pictures on her camera which she threatens to post on the internuts. I'm just thankful I had my clothes on.

Looking at the ToysRUs catalog on Amazon has made me wonder if I should just save myself the trouble and buy my lightsaber online. =___=;; Lack of t3h automobile combined with laziness is really looking pretty hot at the moment. (Not to mention the possibility of having a good selection!) I think I'll make a trip to the Cambridgeside mall sometime tonight.

What's cooler than being drunk and watching Star Wars fan films?

The answer is, "Being drunk, grabbing your lightsabers, and heading to the park across the street to beat the shit out of each other completely on the fly."

WORD UP, my friends.

Here's the folder of pictures and here's the highlights:

- Destra and Skuld whipping out the Kung-Force action
- Destra and Skuld About to kick some serious ass
- Skuld gets skewered by Malima
- Skuld and Malima in a deadlock
- Malima's lightsaber broke! That should teach her to get el cheapo parts!
- Destra makes the most fearsome green saber wielding Sith ever.
- Skuld is drunk as hell and somehow manages not to be chopping off body parts.
- Skuld is hot shit, but still manages to fall far short of Darth Maul's hotness. I'm workin' on it. ¬_¬
- Skuld and Destra in a contest of who's stronger in the Force.

That's it folks.

Now that Thirsty Thursdays have been implemented more lightsaber duels may take place as soon as we haul some ass over to our nearest toy store.

The cure for Yellow Fever has been found! Thank you, Japan!

(Note: anything that has the phrase "Thank you, Japan!" may occasionally not be safe for work.)

This post is thanks to Ray, an awesome former Fenbeing.

Elijah Wood is...

This post is titled "Elijah Wood is..."

a. Very Very Gay
b. Very Very Creepy
c. bothl of the above

o____o ZORT. Sin City was awesome, I hope I have asskicking dreams for the next few nights in black and white with sparse color. o____O Maybe I'll throw in a lightsaber there for kicks. And I really hope they're dreams that Elijah Wood will not appear in. *totally creeped out*

I like to think of him best as little wussy Frodo who always needs Sam...and not as scary serial cannibal with opaque glasses. ;__; (Though I think they should've made him a scary serial gay cannibal like that dude in Exquisite Corpse.)

I spent an awesome day with Mel today. ^_^ I slept until 1:30pm after having been up until 4am, and spent the rest of the day either eating, playing with Mel, or watching movies, pretty much. *laughs* Watched Mystery Men again, it's been so long since I last saw that. *happy sigh* I love Mystery Men. It goes on my list of favorite movies of all time, I swear. *hearts for Mel, Hank Azaria, Geoffrey Rush, and Ben Stiller*

Last little bit of love goes out to Star Wars, because they showed the trailer before Sin City. Destra and I knew the l33t-version by heart, and were reciting it while the real trailer played. *luff* <3

...if I had a lightsaber, I would never be in need of a glowstick. ^_^ *grin*

Just finished watching House of Flying Daggers. It was the prettiness. <3 I can't believe it took me this long to get around to it. ^^;;

There were a lot of things in the movie that didn't quite make sense, but they were pretty, so I'm going to complain. Takeshi Kaneshirou = love. *fangirling*

I really ought to settle down and do some work. XD

PrismGecko is being evil and has tantalized with tasty crack by promising to roleplay in the Star Wars universe with me.

What did I say about not feeding the Skuld crack? ¬_¬ Too late. ^____^ I'm addicted to crack now.

In addition, my life SUCKS because the new season of Battlestar Galactica is coming out in July, when I'll be in Japan and blocked from Torrent at my only intarweb source. *dies* Missing Battlestar will suck, but Episode III gets released in Japan on July 9th, which means I'll be there and I'll be able to fangirl with PrismGecko about it. ^_^ Yay!

WE ARE DORKS.

last thing of the night: lovelovelove to Mel who is at Art Allstate probably having the time of her life. *snugs* See you on Sunday, love!

I have no interesting jokes to play on people today because my mind is busy falling asleep and feeding me more Maul/Obi images because for some reason my brain deemed that my already-overflowing bloodstream needed more. =___=

Sure, brain, whatever you say.

If I come up with something funny and interesting to say other than THE POPE IS DEAD! then I'll say it. (Yes, it's sad how close to the truth that is.)

Here's a general rule for you guys:

PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE SKULD.
(cause those girls on the DMEB2 boards have been feeding me crack...and I fear to what new crackity heights I am capable of swelling.)

Gah, I'm still sleepy. I've been sleepy all day. =__=;; Why? Why? I got like...9 hours last night even after clubbing it up at gay night at Manray. I'm sure I'll be awake once I go home, plop in front of the TV monitor, and KotOR my little fangirl heart out.
