I lose at life

More 3K (Three Kingdoms) rants...or rather, just Sangokushi Taisen.

So back when I first started playing Sangokushi Taisen, I noticed that a couple of cards looked, IMHO, a lot like Eiichiro Oda (the artist for One Piece) did the illustrations. He mostly did cards from Wei, which is what made me squee when the machine spit out my first rare, Cao Cao. I checked the artist's name at the back, and it was definitely not Eiichiro Oda. I was very confused. Art kinda looked like Eiichiro Oda, and even more so when I got the Xiahou Dun card at Mandarake, but the name definitely wasn't. Who was this "Mashima Hiro" guy? Too lazy to google it.

I was flipping through Shounen Magazine last night, and then it fucking hit me like a ton of bricks.

MASHIMA HIRO. Mangaka of Rave (or Rave Master, as TokyoPop has called it). Who has, if possible, the closest approximation to Eiichiro Oda's style that I have ever seen.

Well, fuck me. I feel like such a moron. Still a pity that Eiichiro Oda didn't do any illustrations for it (cause then I'd want those cards like crack), but I can deal with Mashima Hiro as a pity prize.
