Stupid internets...stop being so shiny. XD Here I am in lab, incubating some spinal cord slices with antibodies, and I should be doing homework during the wait, but somehow the interweb keeps distracting me. The internets is shiny, what can I say. :/ CEASE THE SHININESS!
And...last night I was kind of annoyed at my roommates because there was a Biosciences Grad Student mixer somewhere on campus, and they didn't tell me about it. Or rather, the e-mail was sent out like...two weeks ago and I'd long forgotten it by the time last night rolled around, and I was home alone wondering where the fuck everybody was at 9pm.
I know they didn't leave me out of the gathering on purpose, but sometimes it's kind of annoying cause it's like yeah...I know I'm on the periphery of the Neuroscience group already. I'm probably only a step away from being an outcast (the only thing that keeps me in it still is that there's another girl who is just as big a gamer as I am [I find it funny she went to Caltech and a lot of our conversations are about our college experiences, which are hilariously similar]), but I'd like it if people at least kind of made an effort to keep me in the group? Thanks, guys. I worry about where my roommates are, but they never worry about where I am, and what I might be doing instead of hanging out with everybody else.
*shrugs* *sighs* Oh well, it all worked out in the end. I spent a good two hours talking with Jay (he's apparently going to do a DW5 Jiang Wei costume to complement my Xiahou Dun *grin*) and roleplaying, in addition to getting mucho amounts of homework and a bit of Initial D in, so it was a good night all in all anyway. :D I was productive and I managed to find time to unwind and relax too.
I have a feeling the whole lab/Initial D/homework/roleplay thing is going to be my routine for the next of term. Fwee? o_O
