Weekend recap!

Weekend recap! It's currently Monday around noon (let's see when the LiveJournal feed picks this one up) and I have only done a little bit of my homework. >____> Oh well, gotta work on more.

Anyhoos, Friday started off great. I got up, went to class, came home, and immediately there were puzzles lying around for me to solve, so I sat around the whole entire day and helped solve puzzles with the Pturnips gang. Jay and I did really well, there were a lot of puzzles that we helped solve or at least worked on, and that made me really happy. Friday was basically full of huntage, sporadically interpersed with watching and playing Initial D, and me watching Battlestar Galactica.

Saturday went great as well, though it was a little short. Woke up late, showered, ate, and then dived into Mystery Hunt full on and solved and solved and solved until 10pm wherein we were informed (while working on a puzzle) that the Hunt was over because Dan Katz's (of Setec fame) had found the coin. Crikey. A Hunt going on for slightly less than 36 hours?! That's unheard of. o__O Totally, totally unheard of. If I recall correctly my first year we solved it in about 40-41 hours, and the two years after that were all 60+ hour gigs. Last year was something more along a normal almost 48-hours, if I recall correctly.

DAMN. 36 hours is fast. I was kind of sad, because I was expecting to work on Mystery Hunt until early Sunday morning, but alas, it was not to be. :( I lost all inspiration for the puzzle I was working on, and Jay and I finished off the night by finishing the first season of Initial D. (I've now got him hooked. :3 Rockin'!)

Sunday we woke up kind of late, watched a bit of football (the Steelers vs. the Colts) and then headed down to the arcade to get some Initial D on. Jay did amazingly well for his first try, which unfortunately fills me with shame. -____- He beat Impact Blue on the first try. *more shame* DAMN YOU BOYS AND YOUR Y CHROMOSOMES! *shake angry fist*

It took me a while to beat "Man in Evo V" on Tsuchizaka, mostly because I keep sucking at the downhill part after the tunnel (grrr...need to figure out the perfect place to brake) and don't quite shift fast enough off the hot start. "Man in Evo VI" is next, and then the three bosses. *fufufu*

Went home after the arcade and watched almost half of Initial D Second Stage with Jay, before finally heading over to his friend's place. Dude, Jay has cool friends. XD There was Magic going on on one of the tables, somebody watching retro cartoon openings in the Sean's room (can you believe there used to be a cartoon called Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos?" O_O, and mad amounts of Smash Bros. Melee going on. For the most part, I think I did a damn good job at surviving. Yay, not out first! XD *laughs* I had a great time there, and Jay's friends are cool. I ought to hang out with them more.

Oh, and I almost forgot. ;____; We were at the supermarket last night buying food for the gang, when into the parking lot pulls in this black LanEvo. (Not sure which one, I can't tell them apart.) I foam at the mouth, especially cause I've just watched Second Stage, and I'm like, "ZOOMJ, Kyouichi-mobile." The LanEvo parks, I'm shouting, "OMG, I LOVE YOUR CAR" after it, and this blonde bimbo talking on her cell phone gets out of it.

California, you ruin all my dreams.

That is all.
