Dan reminded me this morning about what probably happened to my driver license. I left it at Jillian's because I was reserving a bowling lane and they gave me a buzzer. Duhr. :( I hope Dan's got it now. Many thanks to Dan for being such a great buddy this entire weekend, and beyond. :D

I'd just like to take the time out right now to say that I'm DAMN LUCKY I'm home right now, cause I lost my drivers license and didn't realize it until I got to the airport. :( I'm glad I have my photo on my credit card, cause they let me use that as ID. I wonder where my license went, it's not in my wallet, and it's not in my suitcase like I was hoping. *cries* I guess I'll have to get a new one somehow. =____= I hope this doesn't involve going to the DMV.

Gonna be in Boston this weekend. I have no idea how late I'm going to be stuck in lab tonight (grrr...I need an excuse to leave). I'm so sleep-deprived now it's ridiculous. And of course...sleep is not going to happen AT ALL when I'm in Boston. XD
Anyways, getting in Friday afternoon at about 4pm, which means I probably won't be able to hit the con until about 6:30pm or 7pm, depending on whether or not people are at Fenway, etc. etc. I'm not exactly sure when Pour House is happening, but by my guess, it'll probably be fairly late, on the order or 9pm or so. Depending on how hungry I am and how many people I can sort of impromptu call up/meet up with at the con.
I think I may have also inadvertently landed myself in the Masquerade, which means that I have NO IDEA when Red Bones is happening on Saturday night. All I know is that it is happening.
I better not forget any pieces of my costume, or I'm totally fucked. O_O

Cause I need a blank white shirt for Takumi from Initial D, and it need to at least be a somewhat heavyweight shirt cause I'm going to be binding/taping, and all I can find around here are the kind you can see through.

For the record, the weird rectangular thing sticking out of Jin's kimono is a stack of paper/cloth used for wiping the katana after use. It is not, by popular myth, a MugenxJin doujinshi. :p
I didn't get to do with it what I wanted to do (actually make it a stack of paper/or cloth) because that was too difficult to keep in place, so I did a pouch-ish thing instead and stuffed in some scrap paper leftover from Mystery Hunt to help keep it's shape. Well, at least I can sleep well now that I know what it is.
Okay, now it's 4pm and I really ought to clean up my room (it looks like it got hit by a hurricane) and change out of my pajamas. ^^;; Pictures if I have time this week. If not, y'all are gonna have to wait until AniBos.
Had a great day today. Woke up super late (around 2pm) to find nobody at home, so I comfortably sat around for most of the day bumming about el interwebs and watching reruns of Top Chef on Bravo. I'm so addicted to that show.
Then Andy came home and we decided that since we haven't been out to karaoke yet, we really ought to. ^_^v It's funny how Andy's knowledge of Japanese songs by popular artists like L'arc~en~Ciel, The Brilliant Green, T.M. Revolution, and Hirai Ken totally does not overlap with mine. O___O Good thing Ookii na Furudokei is easy to sing along with once you hear the verses and the refrain. I treated myself to more NANA manga and some takoyaki today, cause I felt like spending money I really ought not to spend. :x
Anyways, massive celebration because Andy persevered tonight and beat I-no on Maniac mode after only having picked up Guilty Gear last week. o__O That boy is really good at fighting games. He plays a decent Zato. I'm impressed. Granted, it took him probably a good 2 hours of hacking away at her in order to beat her, but he did it and he improved a LOT in the process. ^_^ Yay, Andy! I think he can beat me now, cause I'm really really rusty. :p Time for me to pick up Sol again and dust him off a bit. (hahaha, my puns are SO AWESOME!)
The other cause for massive celebration is the fact that my Jin is done! :D I shortened the hakama and everything. ^_^v The kimono and the under-kimono is done! I'm pleased with the way it turned out. Unfortunately the only fabric I could find was a little thin, so I pretty much have to wear the under-kimono or you'll be able to see through my sleeves. O__O That'll be fine for Boston cause it's probably gonna be a little chilly there (if it's not raining :p), but I wonder how much I'm going to sweat at Anime Expo.
You know, I wish I was like other Asians and didn't sweat. :( But alas, I am the one of the sweatiest Asians I know on everywhere but my armpits. Woe. Well, it could be worse. I could be sweaty AND stinky, but thankfully I'm just sweaty.
EDIT: I just realized I'm not done with Jin, actually. XD (Gah, I jumped the gun!) I need to make that little thingy he's got sticking out of his kimono (I have no idea what it is, and nobody I've read has been able to tell me anything), and THEN I'm done. I'll do it tomorrow, after I try figuring out what it is. XD
Oh, and anybody know what's up with this week's episode of NANA? I know that episode 6 aired at a weird time, so the usual ripping sources missed it. o_o I hope nobody missed NANA 7, cause I WANT TO SEE IT! ;_____; I'm so in love with that show! It's the highlight of my weekend to watch it. ;_;

I had this awesome dream last night of going to Anime Expo. XD Destra was there and we were freaking about lining up the night before to go see CLAMP. ^^;; I know that I will not enjoy so much sitting in line this year to wait for CLAMP to sign my stuff. >_> Oh boy, the size of that thing is going to be ridiculous.

Wheeeeeee! I'm pulling an all-nighter! :D I really shouldn't be this happy considering that I'm doing it for a presentation at 10am, and not only do I have to be awake and coherent at that time, I have to be able to think on my feet in case any questions from professors come flying my way, and I also have to explain some complex statistical methods like random effects analysis as part of ANOVA and conjunctional analyses.
For those of you who know me, stats are my weakness. I SUCK AT STATS. I just DON'T GET STATS. :( Math is supposed to be straightforward. Math is supposed to be able to model things in real life, it is applicable. And when you do math, you're either RIGHT or your WRONG. I fail to understand how manipulation your statistical method can get either significant or insignificant results. :( That's not math, that's some nasty numbers spewing forth from the depths of hell to torment me. Point is...
STATISTICS ARE NOT MATH! They are tricksy, horrible things masquerading as math, but I AM NOT FOOLED!
Taking everybody's comments into account, I went to go buy yet more makeup again today. XD I think I've spent over $50 on makeup alone for cosplay this time round, but you know, I'm k0re like that. (yeah right. XD *snort*)
Anyhoos...I've got a light shade of liquid foundation, and then I put a thin layer of powder foundation over that. I used some bronzer below my cheeks and on my neck to give my facial contours a little depth. I'm wearing a little bit of blue eyeliner at the corner of my eyes (I need it, because my eyes are so ill-defined in the first place) along with a bit of mascara. I drew in my eyebrows, but I'm not sure if they're dark enough. :D You guys tell me.
Also, tell me if the lips are too pale, just right, or too pink. I'm trying to find a right balance between looking too goth, or them looking too red for Jin.
I am so a n00b to this makeup thing and it's so obvious. *laffo*

In short, the base wig I wanted to get for Takumi (from Initial D) is finally here! It's a shoulder-length pageboy "Femme Fatale" that I got from Amphigory, which means that there is going to be SO MUCH CUTTING for me to chop it down to Takumi-ness.
For those of you who know me well...I should be feared when paired up with sharp objects. Not that I can't control where the sharp object goes (I'm pretty good at that), but that I may not be able to control the degree to which I use the sharp object. In short, I'm afraid that I'll cut too much. And FUCK UP. And if I do fuck up, I won't get a chance to do it again before Anime Boston. I've only cut hair a handful of times in my life (and when I say handful, I mean one hand, not two), so sometime this weekend, I'm going to have a showdown between me, the scissors, and the wig which will hopefully cooperate and want to be Takumi-ish. *crosses fingers and prays*
If I lose...well...you know what'll happen. I'll just scream. And probably bring Sol to Anime Boston instead of Takumi.

1) LUFFY.
I don't think Luffy needs another explanation for being on here, other than the fact that he's Luffy, and if I could be anybody in the entire world, I'd be Luffy.
2) LORD OF THE RINGS. Tolkien was once of my first fantasy loves, next to Redwall. I love the world he created. I love the fact that he created a language, I love his writing style, I love his characters. :D Especially Luthien.
3) LITERATURE
I love books. I love reading. It makes me really sad that I don't have much time for that anymore amongst all that stuff I do.
4) LBGT
I figure this was the best way to work into the fact that I'm queer--kind of weird. In both disposition and sexuality. :3 I like being ambiguous, I don't like being labeled. T3h gay is a huge part of my life, probably because I'm such a yaoi fangirl. But you know, when I look for love, I don't care so much about the gender or the sex of the person. I look for personality first.

I think I have about a good half of my Jin costume finished. I finished the kimono lining today. Mostly because I wanted to give the pattern a test run, figure out the best way to do things. I futzed with the pattern a bit, to get Jin's blue kimono just right. I had to size it down, cause the pattern I accidentally grabbed was size large, and I need a size small. =____= *good job, skuld* The kimono lining is probably too large for my smaller kimono, but we'll see. :3 If it's hot in Boston, I think I'm just going to be lazy and wear the kimono and use a collar-thing instead of wearing the whole lining. But who knows? :D We'll see.
All I have left is to sew together the kimono itself, and do the little diamond-y designs he's got on them. :3 Then I just need to find the appropriate type of flipflops, and I am DONE! I cannot wait for Anime Boston. X3
The Empty Pitchers beat the Achievers yesterday, 16-12. High scoring game. XD The first inning we were up first and scored 10 runs. o_o That's a lot of runs in an inning. So we went to drink to celebrate, and then afterwards a small group (the usual--me, Evan, Austin, Dave, plus one of Austin's friends and Andy) gathered at my place and smoked. And that was my entire night. ^_^v
In other news, I am completely addicted to NANA. It's such an awesome series, I love Yazawa Ai's stuff. :3 NANA also reminds me of how incredibly girly I can be sometimes, and how much I still love the shoujo manga/anime. Good thing is, I got Dave addicted to NANA too.

Listening to Boys Love drama CDs during a nap is the BEST THING EVARRR! I think I took a nap for about an hour and a half and listened to the first two Gakuen Heaven drama CDs. XD
The first one goes through the game's plot with an EndouxKeita ending (I don't remember much of it cause I was asleep, but the sex definitely woke me up. Hahaha, I was aroused from my sleep! *so punny*), and the next one (Muteki na Sannensei) is Ou-samaxKeita and NakajimaxKeita. I didn't get much sleep through Nakajima's part, it was so full of the sexx0r it's ridiculous. XD There's a reason why Nakajima is everybody's favorite. :p That man sexes like no other.
You know, I really gotta wonder about the male seiyuu in Japan. All of them can't be gay. *snorts* That's impossible. Seriously, what does it take for a guy to do voices for a gay sex scene? :D I'm not sure if it takes a lot of balls, or just a lot of money. XD I never knew there were so many yaoi drama CDs out there....but damn. o_o I swear, every single famous male seiyuu out there has done voices for at least 10 sex scenes. (I'm sure Fukuyama Jun has done hundreds.) Even guys who I would've never imagined in gay-ish sort of roles (like Nakai Kazuya, despite how much I love to slash the characters he does) have done some CDs.
Damn. Well, you know what they say. It takes a man very comfortable with his heterosexuality to sleep with another man. (Or well...at least scream like he is.)
I just saw a rat eat her young. o_o
So there was this female we were breeding. The gestation period for a rat is about 21 days, and that was about coming up so we separated the female from the male, and gave her her own cage. I checked yesterday and there was nothing, but I looked in the afternoon today and there was a pup! A single pup! I rejoiced and ran over with the grad student who's supervising me (her name's Aya) to see the process, cause we'd never seen a baby rat birthed before.
We waited, waited, waited for about half an hour, and finally we see something. :D There's a tiny little tail and a set of legs coming from the mother, and we were like yay! The mother rat had her tail between her legs and it looked like she was licking the back end of her baby to try to ease out the rest of the pup. Well... ...
She licked it. She had her paws around it. And then she pulled it out. All of it, and it took us a while to realize that instead of licking it, she was EATING IT. I remember her pulling off the pup's hindlimb, chewing and bit, and then taking another bite. o_O She ate it fast too. By the time the shock had worn off and we realized that the mother was indeed eating her young, there was only the head left. You could hear the crunch of bones as she ate the rest of the pup, pulled the placenta out of her, eat that, and then begin grooming herself.
That was about...2 hours ago. I just barely checked, and there's still that one lone pup in the cage with the mother. She's not even trying to let it suckle, she's stepping all over it and sitting on it and stuff. =___= That pup will be lucky if he survives, and even luckier if the mother doesn't eat all his brothers and sisters too.
Evan got into a motorcycle accident last night. He was so lucky in that as he was making the left turn, he saw the car running the red light and had the mind to jump away and off his bike. His bike is totaled, but he's all right. Just shaken up.
I'm so glad he's all right and alive. ._. I'm suddenly reminded of how dangerous it is for a lone motorcyclist out here in LA. If cars don't even see other cars around here, there is no way that they're going to see a motorcycle.
At least when I beat people, I beat them in style. ^_^ I was 2 meters behind Harada TWICE on Wangan Midnight, and then I finally said, "Fuck this shit, I'm going to kick his ass." So I did. By 183 meters. Ha. ^_^v That feels awesome. I love how all it takes for me to feel cool is a little trance and a black 350Z.

Wow, it's 9:31am...I have a Japanese test at 12:30pm...and I haven't studied at all. My entire night was just totally...wasted last night. I talked with Omi, and then I talked with Evan and Dave. And Andy and I holed up in his room to talk. I'm really glad I have Andy. He is seriously one of the best friends I have right now. :3 Yaaay. ~<3
