near miss

I was in the gym today, waiting for Andy and checking my e-mail...
when I suddenly remembered that I had to go to the Pillows concert. Right then and there, cause it supposedly started at 7pm and it was 7pm when I realized. I scrambled, called Dave up, and he ran over to my house to pick me up.

It was then that I had the bright idea to call the venue ahead, to ask when they'd be playing. Turns out they were supposed to take the stage at 10:30pm, so Dave and I spent a leisurely dinner at a place called Take Sushi in Hollywood. ^____^ *happy grinning*

So...we caught them. :3 My 2nd Pillows concert. *screams like a fangirl* They opened with Blues Drive Monster and proceeded to play all the good old songs like One Life, I Think I Can, Come Down, Crazy Sunshine, Ride on Shooting Star (the middle of which somebody came up on stage and pulled out Sawao's microphone cord. :( They got pissed. Good job, douchebag.), Hybrid Rainbow. They closed with Little Busters, and did a new, unreleased track called "Propose" and Advice as encores. :D

I love the Pillows. :3 *is full of squee* It was pretty crowded on the ground floor, and I paid for it cause I was wearing flip flops. >___> Real bright of me there. There were so many sweaty fanboys there, mah. I'm covered. I need a shower NOW.

See y'all soon. ^_^ was talking at the bar with a couple of otaku, so I guess I now know where the party's at at Anime Expo. I'm sure that was just some guy's idea to give me his phone number. Yay, otaku networking. ^_^
