The clone is gone. ;_; He's back in Columbus now, and we both go back to the grind.
Highlights of our fun:
THURSDAY
- Clone arrived late in the evening. Bummed around the apartment and watched Jeremy beat FFXII.
FRIDAY
Spent the first half of the day in lab. Hit up lunch at Noodle Planet (Mmm, pho...), headed over to Venice Beach to play in the sand and the ocean, and then went home. Went to Tito's Tacos for dinner and then played poker all night long in the apartment. X3 Finally playing for money now, yay! :D Got into the final 4 people, but was the first of those out. .___. *sad*
SATURDAY
Went to the Getty Museum with the clone! I'd never been there before, so it was fun. The gardens were nice, I did some rolling down hills in the grass cause it's fun. They had a great exhibition about the Italian Futurist poetry, which intrigued me very much. Lunch was Hamburger Habit. Then we headed, with Jeremy in tow, over to the Museum of Jurassic Technology, which I must admit I just did not get. It's just...odd. And very slightly creepy. Oh well. I can't remember what we did Saturday night, besides grab dinner at Guelaguetza, but I think it involved a lot of bumming around.
SUNDAY
I went to weapon's lab and left The Clone at home to play Tales of Destiny, and confirmed that yes, indeed, that is Crispin Freeman who goes to my kung-fu school, and that I'd actually seen him many times before, I just didn't know that instead of just being some random guy, he was a random guy with a nice-ish voice. Oh well. We went to Little Osaka's Curry House for lunch and then did some karaoke afterwards. Actually, lots of karaoke. Almost 3 hours worth. I was nearly hoarse by the end of it, but it was fun nonetheless. XD It's so hard to stop karaoke, even when you're losing your voice! After karaoke we went to Roscoe's for dinner with Andy and Dave, and The Clone got introduced to the wonders of fried chicken and waffles. Mmm, so good.
MONDAY
Woke up late, bummed around (do you see a theme here?) and then headed out to the Hollywood and Highland area which I'd never been to. Not much there, sadly, just Grauman's Chinese theatre, some shops, and a giant Scientology building which had a cute little "L. Ron Hubbard's Christmas Special" display next to it or something like that. We wanted to take pictures of it, but were afraid the guy guarding it would catch us and then drag us into the building to brainwash us. >_< Ugh. Yay for Ethopian cuisine later that night, I almost exploded cause I ate so much and couldn't stop.
TUESDAY
Fluxx lunch at In-n-Out! :D Got the longest game of EcoFluxx ever going on, but that's only natural because as opposed to our usual 3 people we ballooned out to 5 with Ed and Andy hanging out too. Ed and I spent the afternoon in lab, and then we went home. I found out he was in high school Quiz Bowl which was why he was so good at Jeopardy. >_< I cooked him Skuld's infamous chili and drove him to the airport. ;_____;
I'll miss you, Ed! >_< It better not be another two and a half years before we see each other again!
