IT'S LIKE FUSHIGI YUUGI ALL OVER AGAIN

At Mel's recommendation I've started watching Saiunkoku Monogatari. I'll just say it's like Fushigi Yuugi all over again, except with a slightly less obnoxious main female lead, though since Miaka is scraping the bottom of the barrel that really doesn't mean much.

I hold little hope of this series getting better. But I'll probably watch it for the nostalgia factor because at least it's not as bad as Fushigi Yuugi (yet) and well...it's like reliving the bad old days but with less badness, and even I can't complain about that too much. :x The only thing that can save this series is MOAR GAY cause it's already starting feel like a gigantic, animated Mary Sue series.
