What's also curious is that the gender of the second person (you) is never fully described in the lyrics of the song. So 'you' could either be a man or a woman. Interestingly enough, I always assumed that the 'you' was a female, though upon reading the lyrics in text without music, my default assumption could be erroneous. I wonder if the assumption of the gender of the second person has anything to do with the gender of the listener (me and my friends who are hearing it on the radio).

Anyways, I'm curious what everybody else who reads this blog thinks about the lyrics of the song and what they mean.

They're also going to be playing at the Empty Bottle in Chicago, IL on October 25th. You guys in the midwest who say 'pop' should go see them too.

They're coming back to LA to play at Spaceland on Halloween, which I won't be able to attend, unfortunately. ._. But they're definitely one of those bands I'd see every time they're playing in town. GO SEE THEM and listen to some of their stuff!

1) The Empress looks like she's suffering from leukemia, and it's kind of creepy. I used to think she was quite attractive as a kid, but thankfully now that I'm older I'm not into loli. Phew.

2) Magic Knight Rayearth is totally a retelling of The Neverending Story with less books and more girls, GIANT ROBOTS, and tragedy. I'm still not sure which one of the two is better.

3) The movie wins for having the creepiest attic ever.

Other highlights of the weekend include finishing my Hogwarts costume (now I have to wait two weeks for Halloween before I can break it out of the closet D:) and spontaneous trips to Guelaguetza for delicious Oaxaccan cuisine. I love my roommies. X3 ~<3

His girlfriend and I sort of tried to defend Facebook as a tool of the modern internet generation, wherein we can find out what some old friends of ours are currently up to without having to go through the tedious, tiresome process of actually having to talk to them and make polite conversation while pretending to actually care. See, Facebook is a great tool of the anti-social internet generation where textual information takes the place of face-to-face or voice-to-voice interaction.

I have also recently, on Facebook, managed to ping an old house alum of particular reknown, one Ryan Lackey, of whom many, many epic house legends are told. Including one of my favorites, wherein one of the gay housemates decided to lie in wait for him on his bed, naked, with a rose in his teeth. That one's a classic.

See? I'd never get these wonderful details from their original source were it not for Facebook.

I hope it doesn't mean that I've suffered a pay cut, because the rate that the training grant pays is lower than what the program requires that I be paid. ;______; *sniffles* That would totally suck if I got paid less!

If Avenue Q is playing near you anytime soon, go see it. It is full of hilarity.

(incidentally, is anyone in my area up for seeing Wicked or the Sweeny Todd revival when it comes this spring?)

I was going to get this look but the sides were too bold and didn't look good when I had my hair up.

There is something to be said about Scandinavian design that is particularly elegant and awesome. Pictures of el new glasses to come next week. :3

...and on a side note, I am missing MIT a whole hell of a lot right now. :(
