I got through the end of the Fourth Kalpa the other day. While my last Nocturne post was spoiler-free, this one contains huge spoilers for the end of the Fourth Kalpa. You have been warned.
Wow. To borrow an adjective from my dad, that was heavy. Really heavy. It was pretty clear from the start that Lucifer had some sort of ulterior motive in the candelabra, which became more clear as the later Fiends spoke of 'testing' you and what not, but learning that he was planning on using the demi-fiend to kill God? I wasn't quite expecting that. Still, it definately gives an interesting twist to the demi-fiend being the bearer of Malkuth, the power of God on earth.
As for Hijiri...I'm now rather curious as to who he is, if he's got a mythological counterpart. The story sounds familiar, but I can't place it.
